Coogee 4 ever

This was a really interesting request - four close friends dedicated to beach life and all approaching a major birthday. I worked closely with the client to develop the concept of the four sitting together at Sydney’s Coogee Beach north end. Working with multiple photographs, the first painting was approved, then with some leeway for the nature of oil painting, I made three more images that were very similar. These were presented to each of the friends as a New Years’ surprise present on a mutual holiday away.
