Hot afternoon, the queue for the open air showers brings all the swimmers together to rinse off the salt water.
This picture is sort of part of the ‘oceanside’ series of paintings. Paint has been generously applied using a palette knife rather than a brush, giving texture and depth. The colours of the hot bodies and cool shadows dominate, the texture overtaking the image.
